WHAT IMPACT HAS PRIME/CROSSFIT HAD ON YOUR LIFE BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE GYM?

Before joining Prime, I was always active between playing soccer and dancing competitively throughout my school years. Between graduating from high school and starting college my "structure" for exercising and staying active started to fade. Looking for something different, I started to run. It started out to be 3 to 4 miles every couple of days to running 9 miles a day 4-5 days a week. I did that consistently for about 2 years no matter what the weather was like outside. I grew to despise it probably as much as my body did.

Needing change, I did some searching around and turned to CrossFit. Joining Prime helped me to regain the balanced athletic structure that I was missing. It has also helped me to grow and change in many ways that I never expected. Crossfit has not only strengthened my body physically. It has also strengthened me mentally. I have much more of an appreciation for being active, what kind of effect it has on my body, and the benefits it brings. Overall, I feel much better than I used to. And yet there is still a lot more room to improve. For that I am excited, and it keeps me coming back every day.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT PRIME OR CROSSFIT IN GENERAL?

The technicality behind the movements and the constant opportunity for growth are the most enjoyable aspects of CrossFit for me. One of my favorite aspects about Prime is that everyone can participate, improve, and succeed no matter how much experience they have or how old they may be. All of the coaches are very good at guiding and supporting as well as pushing people to learn and grow throughout their fitness journey. So much so that your ability to overcome obstacles may surprise you at times.

FAVORITE WORKOUT?/LEAST FAVORITE WORKOUT?

My favorite workouts are "chippers." I tend to workout better and feel better when the workouts are lengthy. This could be anything from 10 rounds of 2 movements in small quantities to 1 round of a variety of different movements at larger quantities. I am much better at pacing myself for longer periods of time than working out in a "sprint." Rowing and wall balls are two of my most proficient movements.

WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JENAE LOOK LIKE OUTSIDE OF BEING A STUD CROSSFITTER?

Outside of CrossFit and teaching tap, I enjoy outdoor activities and traveling. I have been fortunate enough to have gone on 5 cruises to date. These included traveling to many different islands throughout the Caribbean and I plan to continue experiencing as many different countries as I can. I played the drums for quite a few years and I can be pretty good with a paint brush every now and then.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD/SHARE?

If anyone is looking for a change I would highly recommend joining Prime. Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. The coaches have the assets and knowledge to help with whatever you may need. With them, you are sure to succeed.
